“Just when I thought our society was falling apart, along came the Thalea Quartet’s vivid, expansive performances!”

David Harrington, Kronos Quartet

The Thalea String Quartet brings their signature vibrancy and emotional commitment to dynamic performances that reflect the past, present, and the future of the string quartet repertoire while celebrating diverse musical traditions. Fueled by the belief that chamber music is a powerful force for building community and human connection, the Thalea String Quartet has performed across North America, Europe, and China. Pianist Michelle Cann made her orchestral debut at age fourteen and has since performed as a soloist with numerous ensembles including The Philadelphia Orchestra, The Cleveland Orchestra, and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Join these exciting artists as they explore the influence of American musical legacies on the string quartet repertoire.
