Quartetto di Cremona, founded in 2000 and winner of the 2019 Franco Buitoni Award, is among the world’s preeminent string quartets, noted for its lustrous sound, refined musicianship, and stylistic versatility. The ensemble was established at the Accademia Walter Stauffer in Cremona, Italy, and has toured extensively in Europe, the United States, South America, and Asia. Quartetto di Cremona’s extensive repertoire encompasses key masterworks by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, and Brahms, as well as essential literature from the late 19th and 20th centuries and contemporary works. They are also known for their performances of works by Italian composers, including Verdi, Respighi, and Boccherini.
