Canadian violinist James Ehnes, one of the most sought-after musicians on the international stage, joins forces with esteemed pianist Andrew Armstrong for a remarkable concert celebrating Ehnes’s 50th birthday. Gifted with a rare combination of stunning virtuosity, serene lyricism, and unfaltering musicality, Ehnes is a favourite guest at the world’s most celebrated concert halls. Praised by critics for his passionate expression and dazzling technique, Andrew Armstrong has delighted audiences across Asia, Europe, Latin America, Canada, and the United States. This special performance will highlight the duo’s exceptional musical chemistry and virtuosic mastery. The concert also includes a newly commissioned work by University of Calgary graduate Carmen Braden.
