Historic recordings of some of the great singers of yesteryear include numerous performances of salon-type songs with an obbligato instrument. This tradition continues with SPA Trio. These stellar artists first performed together in 2011 in Curaçao, in the Netherlands Antilles, and have enjoyed exploring and performing a blend of art and parlour songs from the 19th- and 20th-century European tradition.

The two-time Grammy Award-winning Attacca Quartet is recognized and acclaimed as one of the most versatile and outstanding ensembles of the moment — a true quartet for modern times. The Galvin Cello Quartet explores the limitless range of a cello ensemble by bringing together new works from diverse cultural backgrounds while seeking to establish the cello quartet as a core part of the classical music world. The Galvin Cello Quartet burst onto the scene after capturing the Silver Medal at the 2021 Fischoff Competition.

The Young Artists Development Program is intended to discover, nurture and promote young Calgary musicians. The resources of Calgary Pro Musica allow us to offer unique opportunities for emerging musicians in Calgary. Participants in the Program receive exclusive instruction from the prestigious CPM visiting artists, prepare and perform a series of school concerts, receive career development instruction and scholarship support. Many of our alumni are already enjoying successful music careers of their own.
Come hear Calgary’s finest young talent showcased in this special event concert.

Four musicians with equally stellar pedigrees formed the New Orford String Quartet with the goal of developing a new model for a touring string quartet. Their concept—to bring four elite orchestral leaders and soloists together on a regular basis over many years to perform chamber music at the highest level—has resulted in a quartet that maintains a remarkably fresh perspective. The New Orford String Quartet has enjoyed astonishing success, including a 2017 JUNO Award for Best Classical Album.
