Welcome to the 2024/25 Season: A Message from CPM’s Artistic Director Dean O’Brien

Welcome Chamber Music Enthusiasts!

Calgary Pro Musica is proud to welcome you to our 48th season in 2024/25! It is always a thrill to bring the finest chamber ensembles to our Calgary audiences in the beautiful Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall. We have an exciting series of ensembles from Canada and around the world. Highlights include the return of the Pavel Haas Quartet with two different programs as well as a co-production with Early Music Voices to present Vox Luminis and a “multi-media cabaret” entitled Late Night with Leonard Bernstein. The season ends with the Calgary premiere of the James Ehnes String Quartet. We are thankful for the loyal support of our many subscribers and sponsors who make Calgary Pro Musica’s inspiring concerts possible.

We as a board take great pride in our educational outreach as well. The Dick Matthews Young Artists Development Program enters its 16th season this year, and we are thrilled to continue our annual Family Concert collaborations with the phenomenal Green Fools Theatre. With your support, we help develop the next great generation of Canadian musicians, reach audiences of all ages and enhance Calgary’s importance as a leading Canadian cultural centre.

Our supporters call us a “hidden gem” and one of “Calgary’s best-kept secrets.” This season we want to share our intimate concerts with more Calgarians. Join us for our pre-concert talks to learn more about the music, immerse yourselves in “music up close” in the Rozsa Centre’s “384-seat acoustic marvel” and stay after concerts to chat with musicians and meet fellow music enthusiasts. Visit our website calgarypromusica.ca and stay tuned for exclusive information about artists and events on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and in our monthly newsletters.

We welcome all of you to our 2024/25 concert season. Enjoy!
